According to the latest news, on March 28, 2023, an order has been issued by the Education Department, Government of Bihar, under which the total amount for all the students to be selected under the “Chief Minister’s Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Post-Entrance Scholarship Scheme – 2023” An amount of ₹ 20038.75 crore (Rupees Two Hundred Crore Thirty Eight Lakh Seventy Five Lakh) has been ordered to be released, which will soon be deposited in the bank accounts of all you beneficiary students so that your academic development can take place.

Bihar Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 2023 Lakhs of students belonging to Scheduled Caste-Tribe and Backward and Extremely Backward Classes of Bihar will now be able to get Post Matric Scholarship Scheme easily. There will be no need to apply on the National Scholarship Portal. Education Department has prepared its own online portal of Bihar with the help of NIC.
Under Bihar Post Matric Scholarship, online applications will be sought from June 12 to July 15 for the financial year 2022-23 in the Scheduled Caste Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Scholarship Scheme. For more information you can read this article.
Bihar Post Matric Scholarship Eligibility Criteria Under this scheme, the following students will be able to apply for Bihar Post Matric Scholarship Scheme –
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of Bihar.
- The caste of the applicant should be included in the list of Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes issued by the State Government.
- The total annual income of the applicant’s parent or guardian from all sources should not exceed Rs.3,00,000.
- Under the post-admission scholarship scheme, only students studying in higher classes after passing the matriculation / entrance examination can apply for the scholarship.
- After passing one level course, studying in another equivalent course will not be entitled to scholarship.
